What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor - English position at Shippensburg University?
The Department of English at Shippensburg University invites applications for either full-time or part-time temporary positions teaching academic writing beginning Fall 2026. Ability to teach general education literature would be considered valuable but is not required. These classes will be taught in-person, on-campus. In addition, faculty members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must hold an M.A. in English and have experience teaching college-level academic writing courses.
Preferred Qualifications
A doctorate in English is preferred.
