ShipMonk is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic entry-level Marketing Development Representative to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, playing a crucial part in our lead qualification process. You will engage with inbound inquiries via phone, email, website, and live chat, identifying strong fits for ShipMonk's services and setting the stage for our Account Executive team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates with a passion for building relationships and contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. No prior sales experience is required – we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed!
What you'll do:
Lead Qualification & Initial Engagement:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound leads generated through various channels (phone, email, website, live chat).
- Engage with prospective customers to understand their business needs and challenges.
- Evaluate the fit between the prospect's requirements and ShipMonk's service offerings.
- Clearly and concisely communicate ShipMonk's value proposition and key differentiators.
Sales Process Support:
- Accurately and efficiently input and maintain lead information and activity details in Salesforce.
- Track all interactions, including call outcomes, follow-up tasks, and relevant notes.
- Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
- Ensure timely and effective follow-up with prospects to nurture relationships.
Performance & Development:
- Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to call volume, qualified opportunities, and meeting/demo appointments set.
- Maintain a strong understanding of ShipMonk's services, pricing, and competitive landscape.
- Actively participate in training and coaching sessions to continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge.
- Develop the necessary skills and understanding to progress into future closing roles within the sales organization.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide a positive and professional first impression of ShipMonk to all potential customers.
- Build rapport and establish trust with prospects through effective communication.
- Strive to create a welcoming and helpful experience for everyone who interacts with ShipMonk.

Requirements
- Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
- No prior sales experience is required; however, any customer-facing experience (e.g., retail, hospitality, customer service) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills for effective email and chat interactions.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Ability to learn and effectively use CRM software (like Salesforce).
- A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a desire to succeed in a sales environment.

- The salary for this position is $45,000.
Work Schedule & Location: 9am - 6pm, ET at the ShipMonk headquarters, 201 NW 22nd Ave Suite 100, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311. In office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Work from home on Wednesday.
