Duties
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock replenishment, stocking, and merchandising to ensure product availability.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to load, unload, and transport merchandise safely.
- Conduct regular inventory control checks to identify discrepancies, damages, or expired products, and report issues promptly.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by loading and unloading shipments efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Support retail sales by organizing produce, packaging items, and preparing products for display or sale.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and sales floor by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with locating products, answering questions in multiple languages if needed, and supporting cashier operations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and retail math principles to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Experience operating RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations including stocking produce, shipping & receiving, merchandising, and cleaning routines.
