Job Summary
The Packaging & Fulfillment Lead supports the daily operations of the Packaging and Fulfillment department by helping coordinate employees, workloads, and priorities to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time. This position serves as a resource to team members, provides hands-on training and direction, and works closely with management to maintain an efficient, organized, and productive work environment.
The Lead is expected to set a positive example for the team by demonstrating strong attendance, communication, productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
Essential Functions
- Assist with coordinating daily packaging and fulfillment activities and assigning work based on operational priorities.
- Provide day-to-day direction, support, and training to team members.
- Monitor workflow and help ensure orders are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Assist employees with questions regarding orders, processes, packaging requirements, and standard procedures.
- Verify that products and orders are packaged, labeled, and prepared correctly for shipment.
- Monitor productivity and quality throughout the shift and communicate concerns to management.
- Help identify and resolve workflow, inventory, packaging, or fulfillment issues.
- Ensure employees follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with training and onboarding new employees.
- Encourage teamwork and maintain professional and respectful communication throughout the department.
- Communicate staffing, attendance, performance, quality, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Assist management with meeting daily production and fulfillment goals.
- Perform packaging and fulfillment duties alongside the team as needed.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in packaging, fulfillment, warehouse, shipping, or a similar environment preferred.
- Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide direction and training to employees in a professional manner.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Dependable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer and warehouse system skills preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required by the position.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and fulfillment environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
