Ship901 is a locally owned shipping and printing store serving Covington, TN, providing packing, shipping, mailbox rental, and printing services to individuals and businesses in the community.
Position Summary:
We're looking for a friendly, dependable Part-Time Store Associate to join our team. This role starts with core customer service and store operations duties, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position with expanded responsibilities as you develop within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with shipping, packing, and printing needs
- Process shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) and handle point-of-sale transactions
- Pack and prepare items for shipping, ensuring proper handling of fragile goods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Manage incoming/outgoing mail and mailbox services
- Support inventory and supply organization
- Learn store systems with an eye toward taking on more responsibility over time
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable learning new software/systems (shipping carrier platforms, POS)
- Ability to lift/move packages (up to ~40 lbs)
- Prior work or volunteer experience is a plus, but not required
- High school students/recent grads welcome to apply
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
