Its platform replaces fragmented legacy tools with a single system of record and an API-first workflow engine that powers how agencies manage accounts, outreach, payments, compliance, and reporting. The company is live with customers in production and scaling across core collections workflows and fintech integrations.
Role Overview
As a Staff Full Stack Engineer based in New York City, you will lead engineering for a core fintech platform, owning major features and architecture end-to-end while working directly with the Head of Engineering and CEO. This is a backend-leaning role. You will design and maintain full-stack features that power customer workflows, develop APIs for payment infrastructure, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using containerized services. You will refine the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines while raising the bar for code quality and engineering standards across the team.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features that power core customer workflows across the platform
- Lead key components of the product roadmap, from technical design through production deployment and iteration
- Guide the technical team and raise the bar on architecture, code quality, and engineering standards
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that integrate with third-party systems and payment infrastructure
- Build user-facing interfaces and internal tools that improve customer workflows and operational efficiency
- Refine the SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
- Own and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, including containerized and orchestrated services
- Contribute to high-leverage architectural decisions as the platform scales
- Mentor other engineers and support production debugging, performance tuning, and reliability work
Who You Are
- 8 years building production web applications in a full-stack or backend-leaning role
- 5 years of professional Python and 5 years with Django (Django REST Framework a plus)
- Strong fundamentals with React, Redux, SQL, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experienced designing and consuming APIs and working with third-party integrations
- Hands-on experience operating services on AWS (Terraform a plus)
- Experienced with containerized and orchestrated applications and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, Celery, GitHub Actions)
- Track record debugging production issues and improving performance, reliability, and scalability over time
- Comfortable setting technical direction and leading components of a roadmap end-to-end
- Strong ownership mentality with the judgment to take projects from idea to production
- Clear communicator who collaborates well with product, leadership, and engineers, and can mentor teammates
- Jack of all trades, expert in one: comfortable across the stack with a clear area of depth
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year
