Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in El Cerrito, CA. As an Optical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative optical systems and components. Key responsibilities include conducting optical design analysis, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system performance. Additionally, you will support the development of technical specifications and documentation while ensuring precision and high-quality standards in all optical engineering projects.
Qualifications
- Expertise in optical design, optical modeling, and optical system testing
- Proficiency in tools and software such as optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V) and simulation tools
- Strong foundation in physics, optics, and photonics principles
- Problem-solving abilities, data analysis skills, and attention to detail
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work within interdisciplinary teams
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
