Reports to:
Maintenance Superintendent
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the Maintenance Superintendent in directing technical personnel and in planning and scheduling maintenance work.
- Provides necessary supervision for contract maintenance and construction projects.
- May assume some of the duties of the Maintenance Superintendent in his absence.
- Meets daily with production, engineering, and management personnel to review work orders for repair.
- Helps in conducting performance reviews on department employees.
- Assists the engineering department in the design and specification of equipment on projects, improvements, and additions to plants.
- Assists Store/Receiving Department in setting up spare parts as needed.
- Helps in the training of operation personnel on electrical and instrument equipment as needed.
- Participates in morning staff meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Required
- High School diploma/GED equivalent.
- Five to seven years of experience with industrial/process instrumentation.
Preferred
- Prior supervisory experience
- Prior work in a manufacturing chemical facility
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office applications required.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable, and organized; can handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing focus; ability to properly prioritize work.

• Regularly required to push, pull, bend, and perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundations.
• Occasionally required to stoop and kneel.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands, feet, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
• Required to be medically certified for respirator and medically fit for duty.
• Use of PPE required in specific areas.
