Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee and coordinate electrical construction projects on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering quality work within project deadlines. The Electrical Supervisor will play a critical role in supervising electrical installations, reading blueprints and schematics, and maintaining project standards throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews on construction sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute electrical installations accurately.
- Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to ensure timely completion.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including the use of HeavyBid for estimating and budgeting purposes.
- Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including pipelines, conduits, wiring, and control systems.
- Conduct quality control inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues using tools.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety protocols across all project phases.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Supervise subcontractors and labor personnel, providing guidance on technical tasks and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work progress, change orders, and safety reports throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on electrical systems; supervising experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, ProCore, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Hands-on experience with electrical installation techniques including pipeline work and wiring practices.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use testing equipment like ohmmeters for troubleshooting.
- Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
