Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social skills
- Support toddlers and infants with specialized care routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap schedules
- Engage children in teaching moments that encourage curiosity, creativity, and emotional growth
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behavior, and daily routines in accordance with childcare standards
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions and resolve conflicts effectively
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers with an understanding of their unique needs
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect is essential
- Classroom experience or caregiving roles that involve behavior management and developmental activities will strengthen your application
