The Role

What You’ll Do
- Transport raw materials and finished goods between:
- Port of Chinook
- Tacoma processing facility
- Airport freight shipping locations
- Safely operate company commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
- Coordinate daily schedules, pickups, and deliveries with Logistics, Procurement, Dock Operations, and Plant Operations teams
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, manifests, and shipment documentation
- Support loading and unloading activities while ensuring cargo is secured and handled properly
- Communicate proactively regarding delays, route changes, or operational issues
- Contribute to efficient day-to-day operations through reliability, professionalism, and strong teamwork
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in logistics, freight, transportation, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation safety practices
- Comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments with changing priorities
- Dependable, punctual, and highly organized
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Able to work independently while coordinating closely with onsite operations teams
- Experience with port operations, airport freight logistics, or seafood/food distribution environments
- Forklift certification or warehouse loading experience
- Familiarity with refrigerated freight or cold-chain logistics
