Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging English Teacher to join our instructional team for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys small class sizes, minimal grading, and a structured curriculum that supports student success.
Schedule
- 4 hours per day
- Monday–Friday
- September 2, 2026 – May 20, 2027
- In‑person instruction
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality English instruction aligned with curriculum goals
- Create a positive, developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and literature analysis
- Maintain high expectations for academic performance and behavior
- Use varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support
- Enforce school policies and procedures
- Participate in faculty meetings and school initiatives
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Benefit from small class sizes and pre‑developed curriculum materials
Qualifications
- One year of English teaching experience preferred
- Experience delivering lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining classroom discipline
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to support the academic development of student‑athletes
- Pay commensurate with experience
Compensation
$18.00 – $25.00 per hour (20 hours per week)
