Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions among children.
- Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning activities, meals, naps, and outdoor excursions to ensure safety and active participation.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
- Support children's emotional well-being through gentle guidance, behavior management strategies, and positive reinforcement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities that align with early childhood development principles and curriculum standards.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents with professionalism and care.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, attendance, developmental milestones, and incident reports as required by licensing regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, special education needs, classroom management techniques, and caregiving best practices.
Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with children in daycare settings or preschool environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development stages specific to toddlers.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and learning engagement.
- Ability to implement early childhood education strategies effectively while maintaining a lively and supportive atmosphere.
- Experience with caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, nap routines, and supervising outdoor activities.
- Knowledge of special education principles and experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during daily activities.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques that foster emotional regulation and social skills.
