We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our early childhood education team. Experience in childcare, preschool settings, or early childhood education is highly valued. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through engaging activities and attentive caregiving
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following proper safety protocols
- Help with diapering, feeding, and nap times as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities and children's progress
- Assist with classroom management to ensure smooth daily operations
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, special education, and caregiving techniques
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in early childhood education
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and promote a positive learning environment
- Relevant experience such as babysitting, nannying, or classroom experience is beneficial
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children

Pay: $15.50 per hour
