Shining Stars Dance Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Dance Instructor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is energetic, engaging, and confident in the classroom, with a passion for providing high-quality dance education in a positive, supportive, and non-competitive environment.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a versatile instructor who can teach acro, tap, jazz, and ballet. Acrobatic Arts certification is a plus, but not required. This role may include opportunities as a lead or assistant teacher immediately, with additional lead teaching opportunities beginning in July. Substitute instructors are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching dance in a studio setting preferred
- Ability to teach multiple styles including acro, tap, jazz, and ballet
- Tap experience at an intermediate to advanced level strongly preferred
- Strong classroom management and age-appropriate teaching skills
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff (in person and via email)
- Passion for nurturing dancers of all ages in a positive, encouraging environment
- Ability to commit to and complete the full school year
About Our Studio
Shining Stars Dance Academy offers classes for dancers 18 months through adult, including acro, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and modern. Classes are held Monday through Saturday in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere focused on growth, confidence, and joy in dance.
