Shining 3D Dental has immediate openings on our technical support team. Shining 3D Technology sells a complete suite of dental digital workflow products. The portfolio includes Aoralscan IO Scanners, MetiSmile Facial Scanners, AccuFab Printers, Wash, Cure, Resins and AutoScan desktop scanners. We are changing dentistry from analog to digital and making our products available through dental supply dealers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Repair Engineer to support our technical service operations. This role is critical to maintaining our service quality standards, ensuring efficient asset management, and driving product improvements through technical feedback. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of device repairs while collaborating closely with Logistics, Finance, and our global R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair Operations & Service Quality:
- Perform comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and high-quality repair of dental equipment and devices.
- Ensure all repairs are completed within the target Service Level Agreement (SLA) of a 3-day average total time in office.
- Maintain high standards of technical efficiency and repair quality to minimize re-work.
Inventory, Asset, and Refurbishment Management:
- Manage physical and digital assets, including dental equipment, accessories, and office hardware, using NetSuite.
- Oversee the refurbishment queue, ensuring that pending units remain at or below 30 units.
- Submit accessory and spare part requests to HQ to meet repair and sales demands.
- Lead and participate in quarterly and annual inventory audits to ensure record accuracy.
Cross-Functional Support & Collaboration:
- Handle incoming/outgoing packages and NetSuite transfer operations in coordination with Logistics.
- Support the Sales and Marketing teams by coordinating transportation and setup for industry exhibitions.
- Collaborate with the Finance department on asset reconciliation and documentation accuracy.
- Product Quality Feedback & Process Improvement:
- Analyze repair cases and customer feedback to identify recurring product performance issues.
- Provide monthly repair summaries and technical insights to HQ Product Management and R&D teams to improve product stability and design.
Your success in this role will be measured by the following:
- SLA Compliance: Maintaining a 3-day average turnaround for in-office repairs.
- Queue Management: Keeping the refurbishment queue to ≤30 units.
- Data Integrity: Accuracy of records in NetSuite and shared drives during audits.
- Feedback Impact: Quality and frequency of technical reports sent to HQ for product improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex electronic or medical/dental devices.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, is highly preferred.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify root causes of technical failures and suggest design improvements.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical departments and global teams. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Organization: Exceptional ability to manage inventory, documentation, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
