Hello! we are a South Korean-based manufacturing company working with Starplus Energy Battery Plant located in Kokomo, IN.

We are seeking for a junior-level Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees by implementing and maintaining effective safety programs and procedures. This is a critical role that requires strong knowledge of safety regulations.
Typical work schedule is :
Mon-Fri / 8:30-5:00
Sat / 8:30-3:00
```Responsibilities```
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Coordinate with management to develop and deliver safety training programs for employees
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and other relevant data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify safety improvement opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills as necessary
```Qualifications```
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred / or 2-year College certificate with 2years of experience
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation laws
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA required
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for accidents/incidents preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
