Job Description:
We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our team. As a NEMT driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments in a safe, timely, and comfortable manner. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. No more than 2 moving violation in past 3 years.
- Previous driving experience, preferably with NEMT, delivery, or passenger transport.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow routes, schedules, and instructions efficiently.
- A compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, but not required trianing will be provided)
Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Follow a set schedule to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, including helping with mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, conducting regular checks and routine maintenance.
- Verify patient information and appointment details prior to departure.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, respectful, and professional at all times.
- Ensure accurate completion of trip logs and required documentation.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or concerns to management immediately.
