Group Home Paraprofessional

Job Summary:
As a Group Home Paraprofessional, you will work directly with individuals in a residential setting, assisting them with daily tasks, personal care, and community involvement. Your role is to provide emotional and practical support, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for the residents. You will be part of a dynamic team, dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with I/DD.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and social interaction.
• Implement care plans developed by the Qualified Professional (QP) to meet each resident’s individual needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment within the group home.
• Escort and accompany residents to appointments, activities, or outings in the community.
• Document daily activities, behaviors, and any incidents following company guidelines.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent and quality care.
• Provide emotional support and build positive, trusting relationships with residents.
• Respond to emergency situations and follow established safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors in a calm, respectful, and compassionate manner.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Pay: $250.00 - $300.00 per day
