We are a New York–based live commerce company focused on fashion and apparel sales on the Whatnot platform.
We are looking for a hands-on operations specialist who can support live stream operations and is also comfortable appearing on camera when needed.
This is a hybrid role combining live commerce operations and occasional on-camera hosting. It is ideal for someone who enjoys both execution and live selling in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesOperations Responsibilities
- Assist with daily Whatnot store and live stream operations
- Prepare products before live sessions (product organization, listing support, pricing coordination)
- Support live streams with backend tasks, pacing reminders, and chat/interaction assistance
- Help organize post-live summaries and basic performance tracking
- Support general operational tasks related to live commerce
On-Camera Responsibilities
- Step in as a live fashion host or co-host when needed
- Present apparel clearly (style, sizing, fit, key selling points)
- Engage with viewers and support sales-focused live sessions
- Participate in live streams that typically last 3–4 hours
Requirements
- Able to work on-site in Maspeth, NY
- Comfortable being on camera when required
- Strong communication skills and a sales-oriented mindset
- Willing to handle both operational tasks and live selling
- Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable switching roles as needed
- Experience in live streaming, e-commerce, retail sales, or operations is a plus
- Prior Whatnot experience is preferred but not required
This role is not suitable for candidates who:
- Only want backend work and do not want to be on camera
- Only want to host and are unwilling to assist with operations
Compensation
- $30–$35 per hour, based on experience and responsibilities
- Trial sessions (operations and/or on-camera) are required before long-term scheduling
