Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared promptly.
Operate and maintain dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
Manage dental and medical records accurately using Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control protocols to guarantee safety for both patients and staff.
Take vital signs and medical history documentation to assist in comprehensive patient assessments while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices.
Familiarity with dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and oral surgery support is essential.
Proficiency in operating dental x-ray equipment and understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral structures is required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team while maintaining high levels of professionalism, clinical confidentiality, and attention to detail.
