Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Estimator to be based out of our Suisun City, CA location and play a key role in critical infrastructure projects across Northern California.

Northwest Division

Introduced to the Company estimating systems and processes.
- Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.

Exposed to various processes, project actions and assumptions that may impact estimates.

Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates.

Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments.
- Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required.
- Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Knowledge of project management principles, heavy civil structures construction, and transportation infrastructure design.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
