Regulatory Reporting Specialist / FR Y-15 (Systemic Risk Report)

Job Summary
A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Specialist to support its regulatory reporting function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting regulatory reports, with a primary focus on the FR Y-15 (Systemic Risk Report) required by the Federal Reserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file the FR Y-15 (Systemic Risk Report) in accordance with Federal Reserve requirements.
- Ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered within established deadlines.
- Analyze financial data and perform reconciliations to support regulatory reporting accuracy.
- Prepare U.S. GAAP adjusting journal entries as required for regulatory reporting purposes.
- Review and validate reporting information received from various business units and branches.
- Maintain communication with regulators and respond to regulatory reporting inquiries and issues.
- Identify reporting discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain regulatory reporting procedures, documentation, and guidance for branches.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, and Regulatory Reporting teams.
- Support enhancements and process improvements related to regulatory reporting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or accounting within the banking/financial services industry.
- Experience handling U.S. regulatory reports required for Foreign Banking Organizations (FBOs).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
- Experience preparing and reviewing accounting adjustments and journal entries.
- Knowledge of Federal Reserve regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with regulators and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with FR Y-15 reporting.
- Experience working with global financial institutions or foreign bank branches.
- Knowledge of Basel regulatory reporting concepts and systemic risk reporting.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting automation initiatives.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms.
