Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and executionfocused Business Project Manager to lead critical transformation initiatives across Corporate & Wholesale Banking. The ideal candidate brings strong logical reasoning, structured thinking, and the ability to ask the right questions to uncover rootcause issues. This role requires deep understanding of corporate banking processes—KYC/AML, onboarding, credit, lending, treasury, cash management, and regulatory compliance.
The Project Manager will drive endtoend delivery, reduce operational risk, improve client experience, and ensure processes are auditready and compliant with evolving regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Problem Definition
- Identify business pain points across onboarding, KYC, credit approval, lending operations, treasury, and cash management.
- Ask critical diagnostic questions to uncover root causes, data gaps, and process inefficiencies.
- Validate business problems using data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and workflow mapping.
EndtoEnd Project Delivery
- Lead full project lifecycle: discovery, requirements, design, development, UAT, rollout, and postgolive monitoring.
- Build futurestate workflows and process redesigns that reduce cycle time and improve client experience.
- Establish clear decision gates, governance structure, and project cadence.
Risk, Controls & Compliance
- Identify operational, compliance, and credit risks early in the project.
- Design mitigation strategies, controls, dashboards, and monitoring frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with KYC/AML, Beneficial Ownership rules, Basel guidelines, and internal policies.
- Maintain auditready documentation and evidence logs.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit, KYC, Ops, Tech, Treasury, and Compliance teams.
- Facilitate workshops to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership.
Execution & Value Delivery
- Improve onboarding turnaround time, reduce rework, and streamline approval flows.
- Drive measurable business outcomes such as revenue growth, reduced operational risk, and improved client satisfaction.
- Implement automation, standardization, and datadriven decision frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 9–12 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Wholesale Banking, or Lending Operations.
- Strong understanding of onboarding, KYC/AML, credit underwriting, treasury services, and corporate client workflows.
- Proven ability to challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, and drive logical decisionmaking.
- Experience designing futurestate processes and implementing workflow automation.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, risk, and technology.
- Excellent documentation, governance, and project reporting skills.
- Ability to manage regulatory changes and ensure compliance throughout project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with largescale banking transformation programs.
- Exposure to regulatory audits, compliance reviews, or risk remediation projects.
- Familiarity with workflow tools (e.g., Pega, Appian), onboarding platforms, or credit decisioning systems.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
