Compensation:  In accordance with  the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is $87,000 yearly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. Compensation is based on location/shift:

Responsibilities:

  • The employee manages the portfolio of donors for the agency and maintains relationships with donors.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with volunteers, community supporters, sponsorships, endorsements, and donors. securing corporate sponsorships and celebrity endorsements, silent and live auction items.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on progress towards fundraising goals for the agency. 
  • Managing grant writing and identification of new grant opportunities. 
  • Directing and assisting with the organization of seasonal activities, promotions and fundraising events on an ongoing basis.
  • Researching alternative funding streams The employee provides support to all community events and trainings. 
  • Coordinating, organizing, and executing all internal and external events and fundraisers throughout the year.
  • Oversees the development team 
  • Ensures a successful social media presence. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5  years of experience in fundraising and marketing
  • Experience in grant writing
  • Experience in community relations
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one
  • Must meet agency MVR criteria
  • Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
