What You’ll DoProvide person-centered support with daily living skills (eating, hygiene, grooming, dressing) and person centered community coaching.Support individuals 1:1 in community activities and skill-buildingFollow individualized support plans, behavior support plans, and crisis plansBuild positive, respectful relationships with individuals servedEmpower individuals in achieving positive health and wellness goal outcomes.Support social skills building, communication, relationships, and independenceEncourage employment readiness and community participation when applicableMaintain health and safety at all times, including line-of-sight supervisionComplete accurate, real-time documentation and incident reportsCommunicate changes in behavior or health to supervisorsAttend required trainings and team meetingsWhat We’re Looking ForYou enjoy helping others and working as part of a teamYou are patient, dependable, and respectfulYou communicate clearly and professionallyYou understand the importance of safety, boundaries, and dignityQualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED requiredAt least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (paid or volunteer)Experience in residential or community-based settings preferredCPR & First Aid certification requiredValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordValid state auto insuranceAuthorized to work in the U.S.Annual health clearance requiredCOVID vaccination requiredMust pass background checksMust be able to complete all required DBHDS training modules Work ExpectationsBusiness casual dress while on dutyClosed-toe, hard-soled shoes requiredCell phones must remain on silent while supporting individualsFull attention to individuals at all times Company DescriptionShiloh Empowerment Services is a state licensed non center based adult day center based in Fairfax, Virginia.
