Team Description:
Having recently been brought within the Chrysalis ecosystem, Shiftlab is in growth-mode focusing on driving additional customer acquisition and continuing to bring innovative solutions to their customers.
Job Summary:
As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in helping the development teams understand and execute on solutions required for our products. You will develop product expertise, understand the underlying problem at hand, gather details, and communicate with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the founder and other Shiftlab stakeholders to understand the business needs of each project and its requirements
- Working with the Technical Lead to create solutions and manage the technical details of each project
- Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals
- Assisting in prioritizing the backlog for the development teams
- Preparing project documentation, help file and other required documentation for projects
- Regularly communication with stakeholders to present planned solutions, and gather feedback on the project iterations, and building additional backlog items
- Assisting with technical onboarding for customers to ensure seamless integrations
Qualifications:
- 1 year in a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar type of role
- Experience working and understanding in an agile development environment
- Experience in solutioning with a technical team
- Experience in requirement gathering
- Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams
30-Day Goal:
After 30 days, we would expect you to have a high-level understanding of the Shiftlab product and have started working on requirements for a small project, as well as participating in agile ceremonies with the development team(s).
60-Day Goal:
After 60 days, you will have had the opportunity to work with a development team on a project (project may still be in progress or delivered). Taking on more responsibility when it comes to backlog grooming. Considering methods for engaging with stakeholders on project updates as you take on more ownership and require less assistance.
90-Day Goal:
After 90 days, you will be close to or will have been involved in the release of a product feature – the full end to end experience. You will be contributing to backlog grooming consistently. You will be able to produce requirements for development consumption independently.
