Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavioral therapy plans based on comprehensive patient assessments
- Collect data during therapy sessions
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency across settings
- Support patients through compassionate care, ensuring a respectful and positive therapeutic environment
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, including behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques preferred but not required
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards related to medical documentation
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients’ families and collaborating within a team setting
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with patience, professionalism, and empathy
