The Academic Programs Associate will be responsible for the facilitation and execution of shift_ed’s Academic Initiatives including, but not limited to, our high dosage fluency tutoring program and kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade transition events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, coordinate, and implement programming at local school sites.
- Measure and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Vice President of Collaborative Education and Impact Programs leadership.
- Serve as a liaison between students, families, and community resources.
- Collaborate with school staff to address program needs or adjustments.
- Oversee and support tutors and part-time staff facilitating programs at school sites.
- Assist with planning and executing transition events for kindergarten, 6th, and 9th grades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred- or equivalent relevant work experience.
- All candidates must be within commutable distance of shift_ed’s offices at 125 S Elm Street Suite 500 Greensboro, NC 27401 upon hire.
- Pass a school system background check.
- Possess experience and knowledge to assist with the planning, problem-solving, education, and empowerment of both the community and schools.
- Can work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrates a belief in the importance of data collection to improve implementation effectiveness and outcomes continuously.
- Agility to adjust “on the fly” and navigate changing circumstances that accompany working within schools and with children.
- Represent shift_ed in a positive manner in appearance, communication, and forward planning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,691.88 - $53,618.18 per year
