The MRI Field Service Engineer I is an entry-level technical role responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting MRI systems under supervision. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited field experience seeking to build expertise in medical imaging equipment.
The shift for this position is Wednesday through Saturday (4 10s) - 7am-5:30pm, on-call duties once trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in installation, calibration, and testing of MRI systems at customer sites.
- Facilitate the emergency management process for external and internal customers to minimize machine down time and maintain adequate communications with site leadership.
- Travel to customer locations as required to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues utilizing remote access and OEM service software tools and equipment theory for problem isolation and resolution with some guidance from senior engineers.
- Safely perform routine preventative maintenance, basic repairs and installations.
- Document service activities, maintenance logs, and parts usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide basic customer support and communicate service updates.
- Work various shift schedules to have little or no impact on patient volume including; weekends, and on-call coverage where necessary to support the FSE team.

Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering

- Associates Degree in Computer Science
Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- 0–2 years of technical or field service experience (internships acceptable)
- Proficient in windows PC operating and repair systems, Linux experience a plus

Pay range for this position is $32-58/hr benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
