The Team:

Our Radiologists represent several different subspecialties with fellowship training in Neuroradiology, MSK, Body Imaging and MRI. The ideal candidate will be fellowship training in a related subspecialty and a willingness to interpret MRI exams in other subspecialties while collaborating with their Shields Radiologist peers. Our busy outpatient practices offers the self-motivated candidate the comfortability to manage their daily workload with the support and camaraderie of the team.

The Purpose:

In keeping with Shields Health commitment to excellence, the MRI Radiologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-task oriented clinical environment.

The Role:

  • To strive for optimal patient care by always acting in a completely, professional manner, according to all legal requirements as well as accepted community standards and prevailing codes of medical ethics.
  • To comply with all the rules and regulations of the center as stated in Procedure Manual, policies or other Official records or minutes of meeting.
  • To assist in the selection of patients that have clinical indications appropriate for the exam and to exclude patients with contraindications.
  • To be available for emergencies whenever the patient is at the center.
  • To participate actively in patient review sessions as required by either a Governmental Agency, or the center
  • To ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations, including compliance, with on-site coverage requirements
  • To ensure a harmonious working environment
  • To Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the referring community and play a vital role in the professional education for the referring community
  • Arthrogram experience a plus.

The Requirements:

Physician who is a licensed by the State of MA, and free of sanctions.

In addition the physician will:

  • Have current BLS
  • General MRI experience
  • Max 40 MRI cases per day
  • Must be Board Certified in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.
  • MA licensed or have applied for transfer of license.
  • Must be Board Certified in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Ability to perform/and or interpret MR Arthrograms
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Medical degree required
  • Credentialing status required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to utilize computer
  • This position requires extensive interaction with all customer groups.
  • Candidate must be personable, organized and upbeat in fast paced environment.
