Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and building interior systems to identify issues early.
- Perform repairs on electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, hand tools, and other diagnostic devices to restore functionality swiftly.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage to ensure optimal operation.
- Execute HVAC system repairs and maintenance to guarantee climate control efficiency throughout the facilities.
- Utilize welding skills for metal fabrication or repair tasks as needed; operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated system troubleshooting.
- Carry out maintenance painting, carpentry, and general facilities upkeep to uphold the building’s appearance and safety standards.
- Support maintenance painting projects and assist with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities to keep all facilities equipment in top condition.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately; document all work performed thoroughly in logs and reports.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, ensure safety compliance, and deliver excellent customer service to internal clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems maintenance, welding, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical equipment effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; able to follow instructions clearly and document work accurately.
- Experience working with maintenance procedures involving MRO supplies; understanding of safety protocols related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required.
