Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products
- Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are replenished, properly labeled, and neatly arranged according to store standards
- Uphold phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store operations by managing inventory levels through stocking and inventory checks, ensuring the sales floor remains inviting and well-organized
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments preferred
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
