Summary
As a Camp Counselor at Shibley Day Camp, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for campers. This position involves working closely with children to facilitate activities that promote learning, teamwork, and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and events.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate programs that encourage participation and learning.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and inclusivity.
- Provide support and guidance to campers in various activities, including sports and arts & crafts.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with students or children in educational or recreational settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
