MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in Psychology and/or Applied Behavior Analysis degree from an accredited university
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Possession of License (LP) or Limited License to practice Psychology in the State of Michigan (LLP), Licensed Behavioral Analyst (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) with corresponding License in Behavioral Analysis (LB), with Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) status, Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), or ability to acquire in first year of service.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years’ experience conducting behavioral assessments and developing/monitoring behavior intervention plans with adults and/or children. Minimum of two years working directly with persons who have a developmental disability Experience with individuals with mental health disorders is a preference.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Shiawassee Health & Wellness provides behavioral consultation and services as part of a treatment team to adults, children, and their families. Responsibilities include behavioral assessment, treatment plan development, family and staff training, monthly face to face contact and data analysis, and being a standing member of the Behavior Treatment Plan Review Committee. The Behavioral Specialist also may complete guardianship assessments for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, OBRA psychological assessments, and agency psychological testing within the scope of their licensure. Ability to complete assessments to determine diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder would be beneficial. The Behavioral Specialist shall be responsible to the Deputy Director of Habilitative Services. This position is hybrid at this time.
