Solar Site Landscape Laborer

Position Summary:
The landscape Laborer is responsible for performing a range of tasks related to the maintenance of solar sites. The role involves working in a team with other laborers and reporting to a supervisor, such as a Landscape Crew Lead or Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various tools and equipment to perform landscaping tasks and ensuring that outdoor areas are safe and clean.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for vegetation maintenance and weed abatement on solar PV power plant grounds with services including
- Mowing
- Herbicide application
- String trimming
- Maintain and repair landscaping equipment and vehicles on a routine basis.
- Assist and manage sheep
- Approve and submit weekly temp labor hours
- Overnight travel as needed
- Other duties as appropriate and assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience operating and maintaining equipment including, but not limited to:
- Zero-turn mowers
- Tractors (compact and utility, between 25-70 hp)
- Rotary mowers (Bush Hog) and other PTO-driven attachments
- String trimmers
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- OSHA 30 (Training will be provided if needed)
- Must have the ability to travel, and work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends as needed.
- Being bilingual is a plus
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license/Clean driving record
- Understanding & experience in the operation and concepts relating to landscaping and mechanical trade work
- General computer, network, and technology proficiency
- Must be 18 or older
- Be able to pass a drug screening
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift tup o 75 pounds independently and frequently
- Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short distances for 8-10 hours a day
Work Environment:
- Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, rain or shine
- Exposure to native plants and occasionally, animals
- Exposure to electrical hazards
