About the Firm
Our client is a well-established, mid-sized public accounting firm that has served businesses, organizations, and individuals across North Alabama for over 70 years. They're looking for a Tax Manager to help lead the tax practice as it continues to grow.
The Role
- Review complex individual, business, and entity returns, with hands-on preparation as needed
- Manage a portfolio of clients across nearly every industry, so no two weeks look the same
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading proactive tax planning and consulting conversations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Seniors and Staff, and help shape how the tax team works
- Work directly with partners on client relationships, workflow, and firm growth
What You Bring
- Active CPA license (required)
- 5 years of public accounting tax experience, including time reviewing work and leading engagements
- Strong technical knowledge across individual and business tax
- Experience supervising and developing staff
- Someone who enjoys client relationships and wants to be part of a close-knit team
Compensation and Benefits
- $100K-$140K base salary, depending on experience
- Annual bonus plus profit sharing
- 4 weeks of PTO
- Hybrid work schedule
