Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a polished appearance
- Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability of essentials
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures for a pristine appearance
- Assist with light custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), industrial cleaning methods, and general sanitation standards
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or equipment upkeep
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or floor scrubbers effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods and climbing ladders if necessary
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in industrial cleaning environments or porter roles; familiarity with residential painting is a plus but not required.
