Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Operate custodial equipment such as floor walk behind machines and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
- Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards
- Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any facility maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including walk behind and industrial vacuums effectively
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with staff or visitors
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods throughout shifts
