Sherwood-Logan is hiring a capable, resourceful and hard-working Project Engineering Manager. Sherwood-Logan is a manufacturer’s representative serving the Mid-Atlantic region. The company has grown into one of the premier providers of water and wastewater treatment equipment. You will be working out of our Annapolis, Maryland headquarters or our Richmond, VA office alongside our sales personnel as well as other administrative departments. This position requires great initiative as well as superb communication, problem solving and organizational skills. You will need both a strong work ethic and amazing customer service skills to be successful in this project management position.
Job Description:
- Project Management: You will be responsible for the coordination of projects including the review of engineering specifications and the coordination of submittals from manufacturers to contractors.
- Engineer Estimating: You will review specifications to create the costs associated for Flygt Pumps, Mixers and Systems.
- Inside Sales: You will work to solve customer problems through assessing the base problem and coordinating with our Xylem Flygt manufacturing partners to find solutions. This includes the following:
- Calculating and compiling the costs associated with the solution.
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, and following through to both delivery and ultimate installation.
- Engineering Assistance: You will assist the consulting engineers and utilities with Xylem Flygt equipment selection, equipment and project estimating and the compiling of technical submittals and project management once equipment is procured.
Requirements:
- Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or similar technical degree. or proper experience in project managment
- Must possess detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of water and wastewater treatment methodology.
- Should have an understanding of the equipment necessary to perform water and enhanced wastewater treatment.
- Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
