Senior Manager - Program Management

Sherwin-Williams
Cleveland, OH Full Time
POSTED ON 4/23/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/22/2026
Job Description

The Senior Program Manager will serve as a key leader within Sherwin-Williams’ Business Integrated Operating System (BIOS) transformation — a large-scale, multi-year ERP modernization program spanning global business units, manufacturing sites, and regional operations.

This role is responsible for driving structured delivery, coordinating Solution and Deployment activities, overseeing Program governance processes, and ensuring on-time, quality execution of complex ERP-related workstreams.

The ideal candidate brings 10 years of leadership experience managing large ERP programs with deep expertise in program planning, RAID governance, cross-functional coordination, and executive communication.

Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day execution across BIOS solution, deployment, data, testing, and enabling teams.
  • Ensure alignment to BIOS governance standards, including RAID management, meeting cadences, change control, and readiness criteria.
  • Drive structured release execution, including Solution Confirmation, SIT, UAT, data conversion readiness, configuration approvals, and cutover preparation.
  • Monitor progress across program deliverables and manage dependencies between Solution, Deployment, and Process teams.

Integrated Project Plan (IPP) & Workplan Management

  • Manage and maintain the Integrated Project Plan (IPP) covering milestones, dependencies, and critical-path items across multiple global releases.
  • Facilitate weekly update cycles with Product Directors, Lead PjMs, Deployment Hub Leads, and enabling teams to validate progress and address conflicts.
  • Work with PMO Analysts to support reporting dashboards, Gantt charts, and automated governance checks.
  • Ensure consistent milestone definitions, task ownership, and predecessor logic across all workstreams.

RAID Management & Governance

  • Lead RAID reviews, ensure quality entries, and support timely resolution across multiple workstreams.
  • Manage escalations through appropriate pathways — team level, entity level, workstream level, and program leadership.
  • Partner with BIOS leadership to prepare RAID summaries, program health reporting, status documentation, and leadership decision materials.
  • Identify cross-functional risks early, document mitigation plans, and ensure accountability.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner closely with Solution Leads, Deployment Hub Leads, Product Directors, GBPOs, Process Owners, Data Leads, and Testing teams to ensure unified delivery.
  • Coordinate handoffs between Solution and Deployment and ensure readiness for downstream activities such as testing, training, and cutover.
  • Support alignment across regional sites, clusters, and business units.

Executive Communication & Reporting

  • Prepare leadership briefs, Steering Committe materials, program dashboards, and operational readiness updates.
  • Consolidate key decisions, escalations, and recommendations into clear, executive-friendly summaries.
  • Ensure transparency across teams and communicate program impacts, changes, and timing with precision.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive enhancements to program governance processes, reporting tools, workplan templates, and RAID discipline.
  • Coach project managers, leads, and team members on documentation quality, decision clarity, and structured program execution.
