Job Description

The Project Manager, Marketing Operations (XPM) is responsible for managing a range of cross-functional projects within Global Architectural Marketing (GAM) to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery, aligned to GAM standards and objectives. This position is also accountable for championing the overall project management practice for GAM and supporting its continual optimization.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects requiring input and alignment across 2-6 functions to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery:
  • Schedule and lead meetings, facilitate alignment and issue resolution, gather feedback, capture and disseminate notes.
  • Develop project plans, project timelines, and other documentation as required, while adhering to GAM standards.
  • Ensure projects are executed pursuant to GAM standards and aligned to identified GAM and brief or business case objectives.
  • Participate in the establishment of timelines by deliverable owners, ADCI/RACI matrices, and identifying dependencies.
  • Collaborate to ensure stakeholders and project team members are aware of and accountable for action items and deliverables that are high quality, on time, and aligned to the project objectives.
  • Track projects pursuant to GAM standards in Workfront (or specified MarOps Tech tool) with necessary detail to monitor project progress and resource utilization, feed reporting and goal alignment, and support productivity measurement.
  • Provide ongoing status updates to key stakeholders throughout each project.
  • Work with project initiator and other project team members or stakeholders to identify risks, and resolve project-related or resourcing issues, escalating as needed to the PMO Director with solutions-oriented recommendations.
  • Collaborate across the GAM PMO to track and improve total portfolio performance.
  • Ideate, bring forward, and implement innovative solutions to advance PMO mission and performance.

Support Marketing Operations

  • Play a critical role in other core initiatives of Marketing Operations as needed to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing, particularly in continual optimization of project management processes, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

FORMAL EDUCATION

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5 years of cross-functional project management experience required.
  • Marketing project management experience preferred.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and detail-orientation.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and managing multiple simultaneous complex projects from start to finish, while appropriately engaging stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build trust with, inspire, and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common objectives.
  • Ability to maintain a culture of continuous improvement by promoting optimization, soliciting feedback, and implementing best practices.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of your projects and how to remove barriers to success for the team.
  • Proven track record to exercise good judgment and be adaptable to competing demands.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to tailor messaging for various audiences and levels in the organization.
