Job Title: Mammogram Technologist (PRN)

Your Impact:
As our Mammogram Technologist, you'll play a vital role in the early detection of breast disease by performing high-quality mammographic imaging in a supportive, patient-focused environment. You'll help ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations following physician orders and established protocols.
- Produce accurate, high-quality images while adhering to MQSA, ACR, FDA, and facility quality standards.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout each examination.
- Explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist radiologists during diagnostic procedures and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures, if qualified and trained.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
- Perform daily quality control procedures and maintain mammography equipment according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Follow infection prevention and equipment safety protocols.
Patient Care & Communication:
- Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing breast imaging, recognizing that many may feel anxious or vulnerable.
- Educate patients regarding examination procedures and post-procedure instructions when applicable.
- Foster a welcoming, concierge-style patient experience through excellent communication and professionalism.
- Collaborate with front office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional customer service.
Operational & Administrative Support:
- Assist with scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, or other front office support as needed.
- Help maintain inventory of imaging supplies and report equipment concerns promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance and accreditation activities.
- Support additional clinical duties as appropriate within scope of practice.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with radiologists and the imaging team to provide timely, high-quality patient care.
- Adapt to changing daily schedules and patient needs in a flexible PRN role.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture by supporting team members when needed.
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
- Current state licensure, if applicable.
- MQSA-qualified Mammography Technologist.
- BLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience preferred; breast imaging center or outpatient experience is a plus.
- Experience assisting with breast biopsy procedures is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
