Procedure Coordinator

Hours

          Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• As a procedure coordinator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks within our clinical department to support healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care.

• Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating orders/ reviewing orders, diagnostic testing, labs, and procedures/surgeries..

  • Scheduling outside diagnostic testing, including hospital procedures such as heart catheterizations, TEE, stent placements, pacemaker/ICD implants.

  • Faxing/submitting medical records associated with any clearance or ordered procedure.

  • Coordinating requested surgical clearances with outside offices to ensure patients get their surgeries in a timely manner.

  • Reviewing incoming faxes and processing them for the appropriate clinician.

Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to provide compassionate patient care

• Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records

•  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Please note that previous experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
