Laminator Operator

Sheridan MN is seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Laminator Operator to join our dynamic team at our Brainerd, MN facility. In this vital role, you will be a key player on our 1st shift being responsible for the set up and operation of laminating equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and run the Laminator and or UV Coater according to the job specifications along with all safety, quality, productivity, and other Bindery processes.
• Monitor quality of product throughout job according to established procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable level of production based upon job requirements.
• Maintain equipment and repair/service as needed.
• Complete all applicable paperwork.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping attitudes and practices.
• Perform preventative maintenance measures as assigned.
• Perform General Worker duties when not assigned to set-up or run equipment.
• Safety - Complies with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Monitors for safety hazards and reports any safety-related concerns.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, do basic math and work with basic tools (screw drivers, wrenches, etc.).
• Must have basic computer skills to work with Windows type applications.
• Must have a mechanical inclination and be able to do basic troubleshooting when a piece of equipment is not functioning.
• Must work cooperatively with others and have solid communication skills.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Two years in trade on similar equipment.
• Graphic arts and/or technical school background beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals

• Hearing protection and safety toe shoes required.
• Prolonged periods of standing – 12-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 40lbs. on a regular basis.
