Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed safely and on schedule.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, mowers, and motor grader.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safely transport materials using water trucks and other vehicles as needed.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Skills
- Would prefer commercial driving with valid licenses for heavy equipment operation, but willing to train.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely within a construction site environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
