What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Teller- Float (Full Time) position at Sherburne Bank?
Sherburne Bank is seeking to hire a FULL TIME "float" team member for our Monticello, Princeton, and Becker locations who is excited about the banking industry and the opportunity to provide excellent customer service. This individual would be scheduled between all three of our branches.
90% of your daily tasks are direct customer experience transactions/services.
o Provides account services to customers by accepting and verifying deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing withdrawals; processing cash advance transactions; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks; assisting with debit cards and internet banking; completing telephone transfers; answering questions face-to-face or on telephone; referring to other bank services as needed.
o Assists with balancing and maintaining currency in the teller cash recyclers and ATMs.
o Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customers' needs; and/or directing customers to a branch representative.
o Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
o Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; turning in mutilated currency to head teller; maintaining supply of cash and currency in cash recycle machine and/or vault.
o Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; maintaining customer traffic; auditing other tellers' currency when there are discrepancies; assisting in certification of proof.
o Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
o Provide extraordinary customer service by conducting business in a professional, friendly manner and building long-term customer relationships.
o Perform opening or closing duties at the branch location as needed.
o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear; ability to lift to 25 pounds.10% of your daily tasks are bank related special projects.
o Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
