POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Guest Room Attendant
Reports to: Housekeeping Manager and Director of Rooms
Purpose: Clean guestrooms, suites and bathrooms to Sheraton standards; supply items required for the comfort and convenience of guests.

Guest
Room Attendants will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for Guest Room Attendants – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.
Additional Job Functions:
- Pick up room assignment from supervisor.
- Follow ABC training guidelines.
- Check assigned rooms thoroughly for articles left by the guest and turn them in to lost and found.
- Thoroughly clean bathroom basins, fixtures, floor, shower curtain and walls, toilets, tub and vanity areas.
- Remove used bath and bed linen and replace with clean linen.
- Vacuum carpet including corners and edges.
- Remove trash and clean trash containers.
- Check water temperature in bathtubs.
- Dust entire room; clean light fixtures, mirrors, telephones and television screen.
- Replenish all supplies in room, i.e., bath and face soap, coffee, tea and creamer, glasses, ice bucket liner, shampoo and conditioner, shower cap, sugar, tissues, etc.
- Clean and sweep balcony patios.
- Check and replenish stock of required printed items.
- Report any damage or maintenance concerns to inspectress to notify PBX operator.
- Clean, maintain and replenish cart.
- Able to clean 16 - 17 rooms daily after completing ABC training; making beds on a regular basis.
- Perform various duties as assigned in a professional and timely manner.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand/walk continuously for 8 to 10-hour shifts.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push up to 200 lb. cart.
- Able to bend/stoop frequently.
- Continuous walking and standing.
- Continuous kneeling.
- Use of cleaning chemicals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
