Looking for an experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer / skilled Handyman to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Responds to guest calls and assists or repair as needed items in guest rooms in a fast and friendly manner.
- Perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited to locks, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, etc.
- Adhere to hotel safety standards.
- Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient maintenance operations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Must be a team player and be able to work well with others with the Engineering department as well as all other departments and outside contractors.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Certificates or equivalent in electrical, heating/air conditioning, HVAC-R, carpentry, plumbing, refrigerant recovery/handling preferred
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays
