Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure team efficiency and high performance
- Supervise food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and control stock using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery and prompt resolution of issues
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, menu implementation, and quality control
- Manage shift operations to meet business goals and maintain operational flow during busy hours
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members
- Implement training programs to enhance staff skills in food service management, culinary techniques, and customer service
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and industry regulations
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and overall management of the food & beverage department
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the food industry, including supervising teams in quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Some barista experience.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Background in hospitality management with skills in staff training, team management, and leadership
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management strategies
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Prior experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen management, food production processes, catering services, and bar operations is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with experience in interviewing and developing staff members
